Mayra “Sheetara” Bueno Silva (10-7, 1 NC) is bringing her UFC experience and high-level drive to Peak Fighting Championship.

The previously top 5-ranked bantamweight Bueno Silva will be adorning the PFC 55: Diamond Series fight card in the co-main event against Tatiane Aguiar (12-7). The announcement comes after Bueno Silva and the UFC parted ways in April of this year, and just 16 days before the event at Momentum Bank Ballpark — the first time live MMA will rock the home of the Midland RockHounds.
Peak FC was enthusiastic to work with Bueno Silva, and the team felt that the matchup at the ballpark is what made the most sense from a timing and event-setting perspective.
“She’s fought the top girls in her division in the UFC, and she’s always been exciting,” said President Jonny Ross. “Having her on the event at the ballpark just makes so much sense.”

Bueno Silva brings a strong Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu background and aggressive submission grappling style to Peak FC, with striking chaos and high-intensity explosions to tie it all together. The bantamweight earned her UFC contract via ninja choke on “Dana White’s Contender Series,” and eventually earned a hard-fought title shot at UFC 297. Her extensive experience will make for a thrilling matchup against Aguiar, who brings her own finishing ability and aggression to the cage.
“I’m excited to see a high-level female fight,” Ross said. “Peak fighting is going to happen between these two. This is like the highest level of female fighting you can see, and both can hurt each other real bad.”

Bueno Silva’s resume includes names like Jasmine Jasudavicius, Raquel Pennington, and Holly Holm. This level of competition makes Bueno Silva one of Peak FC’s most highly experienced sign-ons ever, aside from Diego Brandão, who’s been in the cage alongside names like Conor McGregor, Brian Ortega, and Dustin Poirier.
“Signing on a UFC veteran means their working environment is a little tougher,” Ross said. “Because man, they’re fresh off the UFC and it’s a massive difference.”
While there may be an adjustment for Bueno Silva coming into the Peak FC cage from the UFC, Ross and the Peak FC team believe she is ready to wow the West Texas crowd.
“She has her head in the right place,” Ross said. “She’s coming in to make a statement.”
This event’s thrilling matchups include a bout between Taylor Andrews and Mateo Gonzalez, a lightweight title fight between Jettre Hampton and Neko Macias, and the headlining featherweight championship bout between Brian Mitchell and Drako Rodriguez.
